You’re invited to SMU’s Annual LGBTQ+ Symposium! This year’s Symposium will be held on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024 from 6:00 – 7:30pm in the HTSC Ballrooms. This year, our theme is We’ve Always Been Here highlighting the history of LGBTQIA+ identities both on campus and throughout the DFW metroplex.
Check in for the event will begin at 5:30pm. There will be time to network with students and community members and enjoy some light refreshments and giveaways. At 6:00pm, we will have a great panel discussion featuring local alumni, activists, and academics.
Please RSVP to attend on SMU360, and share with any of your colleagues or students who may be interested! This event is also open to the community, so feel free to share with friends/family/others from outside SMU- just let the center know if you have guests attending so I can ensure we have a proper headcount (and can share information about how to get to campus for the event).
