North Texas has plenty of higher educational opportunities – University of Texas-Dallas, Dallas College, and the University of Dallas, to name a few – but we are partial to the grand campus located uphill from downtown Dallas in University Park.
Dallas is home to many LGBT+ people, including folks who live or work on the Hilltop.
Established in 2023, The Hilltop Pride’s mission is to advocate for a culture of respect and to monitor progress toward equality of all persons concerning sexual orientation and gender identity. This unaffiliated group promotes policies and practices that positively affect the health, welfare, and safety of persons who live, visit or work on the Hilltop concerning sexual orientation and gender identity and expression. We seek to identify barriers that inhibit the full inclusion and advancement of persons from our community from forwarding innovation and evidence-informed recommendations that support the creation of an inclusive and welcoming climate on the Hilltop.
